Reports
Start from a question, or build one from the records directly. Both run the same engine, so they cannot disagree about the same portfolio.
What Are You Trying To Answer?
Build A ReportWhat are we running, and what does it cost?
Every application with its department, owner and total spend.
CustomizeWhat renews in the next 90 days?
Contracts inside their notice window, with the date and the days left.
CustomizeWhat are we paying for that nobody is using?
Licences provisioned with nobody active on them. Applications with no usage source are left out rather than counted as unused.
CustomizeWhich applications have no owner?
No System Owner on file, with the spend sitting behind each one.
CustomizeWhat spend was found outside procurement?
Applications with no contract record — money leaving without an agreed term, notice period or renewal date.

Nothing generated yet. Building a report and pressing Generate records it here, so it can be found and reopened rather than rebuilt.
How These Relate
A question is a saved configuration of the builder — the same data set, period, date basis and fields you would choose by hand, already chosen. Customize opens it in the builder with all of that carried across, including the condition the question filters on, so you can widen or narrow it and see exactly what changed.
Every figure comes from the Application Records themselves, so a report cannot disagree with the record it came from. Where a question matches nothing, it says so rather than showing an empty table under a confident heading.
A saved report stores its configuration, not its rows. Reopening one runs it again against today’s records — so a report from last month shows what is true now, and can never quietly become a second version of the truth. Renaming changes the label; the record ID stays with it.
